These attached rowhouses, which were largely built between 1895 and 1905,
distinguish this street from its immediate surroundings. It takes its
name from the large park located one block south, which was laid out by
noted landscape architect Frederick Law Olmsted. The residential designs
of architect Henry Newhouse and of developers Andrew and John Dubach
continue to create a sense of a close-knit community for this
picturesque one-block-long street. |
