The facade of this small building was the last commission of famed
architect
Louis Sullivan, and it
reflects the careful attention to detail that characterized Sullivan's
work. Elaborate terra-cotta ornament, projecting above the roofline and
framing the large display window, drew attention to the store and its
original function.
